Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste ended its 4th edition in Fortaleza this Thursday, 11 April, having attracted more than 5,000 visitors and establishing itself as a reference in Brazil’s Northeast.

The 4th edition of Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste started with significant discussions about the solar industry. The exhibition and workshops were also highlights.

The summit’s mission is to provide in-depth education, enable high-quality networking opportunities, expand the use of PV technologies at regional and national level and strengthen the local PV industry.

Last 18–19 April, the city of Fortaleza hosted Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste, widely regarded to be the leading event in the Northeast dedicated to discussing and inspiring solar and renewable energy development.

In the context of the transition to a low-carbon economy, solar photovoltaic is currently the fastest growing source. In Brazil, 10 GW of installed power has been added by 2022. An emerging application, agrivoltaics, provides synergy between photovoltaic technology and agriculture, with benefi cial effects for both. Rio Grande do Sul has the third largest installed base of photovoltaic generation and is also the third largest grain producer in the country.
