Camila Gehrke has been a lecturer at the Federal University of Paraíba since 2014. She is the founder, researcher and head of the Smart Grid Group (SG2) since 2015 and has coordinated the Embrapii CEAR/UFPB Unit since 2021. She has been active on R&D projects since she graduated.
As a lecturer, Camila participated in ANEEL's last two strategic calls, including the project 'Battery Storage Systems and Photovoltaic Systems', which was awarded an honourable mention in the International Project of the Year category at the 2019 Solar & Storage Live Awards. In addition to working on projects for ANEEL, she also develops projects directly with private sector companies. At Huawei, she headed the project 'Optimization of Operation of Battery Storage Systems'.
